As an expat in the Netherlands, I know how it feels to leave behind the familiar comforts of home. The smells, colours, and scents of our homeland can feel distant, and it’s hard to recreate that same sense of comfort and belonging in a new place. But what if you could bring a piece of home with you, transform your living space, and create a beautiful, inspiring nest that reflects your unique cultural identity?

Discover Your Taste is an immersive, empowering experience designed for expats in the Netherlands. It will help you reconnect with your roots, rediscover the aromas, colours, and textures that once filled your home, and guide you in incorporating these elements into your Dutch living space. Guided by an award winning Italian architect specialised in interior design, you will embark on a sensory journey to rediscover the elements that truly feel like your own. An experience that will help you  understand what to bring into your space, how to make it uniquely yours, and, most importantly, how to feel at home — wherever you are.

Goal:

We aim to raise €2,000 to create a lasting space and a community for expats in the Netherlands to explore their cultural identity through interior design, providing materials, expert-led workshops, and a safe, supportive environment where expats can share their stories and create meaningful connections.

How Your Support Will Help: Your contribution will directly fund the following:

• Workshops and Expert Sessions: We’ll bring in professionals who specialise in multicultural interior design and architects, helping you connect your roots to your new space.
• Materials and Kits: You’ll receive a kit of curated samples (fabrics, scents, decor items) to inspire and guide your personal redesign journey to use during the workshop
• Venue and Logistics: Hosting workshops in Eindhoven offering accessible locations.
• Building a Supportive Community: We’ll create a lasting space for expats to share ideas and experiences through online groups, fostering a sense of belonging.
